Short History of Badges

A badge is a distinctive emblem which marks an individual’s office, membership or achievement.

In Song Dynasty, at year 978,Li Feixiong stole government horse and pretend to be an envoy, but got arrested after been seen though. The government then make a special silver badge as identify label.There are two materials in very first, the person with silver badge is called Silver Man, and the person with golden is called Golden Man.

In Qing Dynasty, Badges begins to be as gift of different countries. The emperor also accepted the international culture and make different badges, stands for different honors.

The Republican Period, Various kinds of badges are used in different armies. The materials are also becoming various, like iron.

Today, we know badges mostly as the shields worn by police, firefighters and the military. Still the most  part is made by metals,like Zinc，Iron.
